Microsoft Access Version 2013 – 2016

 

- Data reporting application, interface to the food & beverage system, retail, ticketing and manage report distribution to different departments within the zoo. Some reports are static, some dynamic with automatic email generation and interaction with excel users with raw data and drill-down functions.

 

 

- Financial market analysis, shares data from the asx is collected and calculated upon. A central repository distributing data to clients. Client specific algorithms applied with alert flags and other event driven functions. Charts on volume ratios, coefficients and other calculated fields.

 

 

 

- Time sheet and staff hours worked. A hybrid WebApp, msAccess admin centre GUI and SQL server. An online journal collecting hours worked and reporting for invoicing. Field workers can record details via phone, tablet or other Internet devices. Admin can track all hours, report and invoice from the central db app.

 

- iMBAS – A financial transactions database used to a GST, Profit/Loss and Balance sheet by importing data from a banks file export. www.imbas.com.au

 

 

 

 

- GuestBook – A simple Sign In and Sign Out journal. The application runs on a windows tablet and replaces the pen & paper guest book at reception of some businesses and events reception. The application runs in multi user mode with a central database (be MsAccess on the LAN or SQL server online). The application is automated for data entry, it prints a badge and has a secured administration reporting area.

 

 

 

- Leads admin database -  keeps track of sales leads with details and historic notes & contact dates. It can automatically email groups of selected contacts. A simple, open connectivity, contacts management.

 

 

- Email Fetcher and database builder. The app fetches emails from the web, like a virtual agent it scans web sites and search engines to capture email addresses and build the database. The email fetched can be specifically within an industry or group. The app also allow multiple emails with attachments to be sent to selected groups.

 

 

Microsoft Access Version 2010

 

- Job tracking database, managing job orders and technicians out on the field. A simple business process to manage inventory, invoicing, GPS locations of technicians and communications, integrating with an online SQL server.

 

 

 

- Vet Hospital administrative system, a database managing animals, donors, species, diagnoses, medical assistance and services. Developed over a period of 4 years one module at a time. SQL server backend, interfacing to other systems, a dozen PCs.

 

 

 

- Donations database, tracking sources and donors for different types of donations. Inc. reports.

 

 

- HR employment database, tracking positions applications and replies for administering the human resources information flow of job applicants, automatic replies and tracking various stages of the application.

 

Microsoft Access Version 2007  - Up to year 2011

 

- Bats Conservation & Rescue QLD, a database to keep track of bats in the wild. Statistical analysis on common problems, rescue and abnormalities.

 

- A colour matching database, reading RGB values from a camera and calculating various brands of paint resembling the colour.

 

- Ticket and Voucher reconciliation database, reading data from the entry ticketing database from the PointOfSale and reconciling prepaid and postpaid vouchers with accounts.

- Online events database, incorporating SQL server. Tracking events of various types and publishing on a web site.

 

Microsoft Access Version 2000/2003  - Up to year 2008

 

- Training school database to track students, courses, enrolments and certification.

 

- Nursing Service database to track the administration of the business, a nurse on call agency. The application tracks client orders, job orders for field staff, time tracking, invoicing and reporting with statistical analysis. All the necessary components to administer the business employing 6 full time staff and 30 contractor nurses.

 

- iMbox video database, an application used for recording video and storing Windows Media encoded video and audio files in a jukebox style system. Over a period of 5 years the system progressed to online services with the use of an online SQL server.

 

- eCV (electronic Curriculum Vitae) a video database for storing job seekers profile and personal presentations. An online method of collecting, storing, sending and administering a portfolio of jobseekers using email, MsAccess and SQL server.

 

- An executive information system (EIS) for the theme park on the Gold Coast, Warner-Village. Capturing live data from various databases, food&beverage, retail, gate ticketing and financials. A dashboard style reporting system for management in aid of decision making with drill down capabilities and data grouping. Providing near-live accuracy with an average of 50,000 transactions per day.

 

- Bookkeeping system, importing major banks statements and accounts posting for each transaction. Chart of accounts, profit and loss, balance sheet and general journal. Reducing data entry and producing reports to assist the BAS.

 

 

Microsoft Access Version 97  - Up to year 2001

 

- Administration system for a marketing company. Ten user networking system. Multi-user database for tracking information flow. Prospects database and contacts management, retail sales management and distributors information tracking. Procedure automation, when entering a new prospect client the system automatically generates all necessary documents such as introduction letter, leads sheet assigned to the appropriate consultant, mailing label, updates the database to include a new task for the sales department. Management reporting of enquiries status as well as sales performance index. Particular reports are automatically generated at end of day and e-mailed to the appropriate supervisors.

 

-Phone call accounting. Communicating with the PABX. Match phone called numbers with those stored in the database, report phone usage and call trends for each extension, and identify personal phone calls. The database is fully secured and access restrictions apply to user groups.

                               

- Staff Rostering System. Producing weekly rosters and calculates total hours worked and labour costs for one or all employees. Maintains data and caters for fast data entry. Produces work time analysis reports among given dates.

               

- Statistics and analysis tool personalised for the finance and marketing division of the Administrative Services Department of the Queensland State Government. Crossing two different platforms (informix, Pick) and reporting data summaries ahdoc.

               

- Commercial properties inspection database for the Building Services Section of QPM property Management, Business Unit of the Queensland State Government. Revenue Analysis from the accounts receivables applications software, datawarehousing interface and adhoc reporting for senior management.

 

- Housing property inspection database for the Housing division of QPM property Management, division of the Public Works and Housing Department of the Queensland State Government. On-Site inspections are recorded on an Access database which it then generates a report for management and provides quick access to the data for the customer support division.

 

- Customer Voucher and debit control database for Sea World Enterprises Pty Ltd. An Access database to manage the debit of pre-purchased tickets from regular large clients ie. RACQ, NRMA Etc.

 

 

Microsoft Access 7 and Office 95  - Up to year 1999

 

Incidents database :- Developed for the guest relations maintain a database on all incidents occurring in the park, including reports and statements from both personnel and guests

 

Fax Back Confirmations :- For the booking section of the sales dept.  ODBC connection to the AS/400 database maintaining the booking system. Extract availability, prices, client fax numbers etc. and execute a friendly user driven confirmation fax back system.

               

Mammals and quarantine database :- Maintaining animals details and running the database over a dedicated internal phone line by using explorer as front end in HTML format and linking the intranet pages to the Novell driven data engine.

               

Rosters :- Multi-User Access database for producing and maintaining casual  staff working hours.

 

Nurse I.T. project :- Workers compensation procedures and forms, casual visitors information keeping and legal record maintenance procedures. Statistical reports on accidents/incidents and case        analysis.

 

 

Microsoft Access Version 2 - Up to year 1997

 

Customer credit control and administration – Major clients use prepurchased entry vouchers and the system reconciles and tracks all vouchers used. The application measures over 10,000 vouchers every month from various clients that email their list of used vouchers. The process helps maintaining the customer credit accounts.

                               

Credit Control Assistant – Automate the process of sending reminder letters for overdue accounts. Read library modules from the main database in the AS400, select all records with given criteria and create customised letters for each; fax automatically were possible.                                   

 

Service calls registration database for computer help desk at Griffith University Gold Coast.

 

Locksmith quotation system. A database system developed upon specification    and in association with a computer company. Ordered and tested by a reputable      member of the Master Locksmith Association of Australia. The system maintains a master file of all products merchandisable and generates appropriate bill of quantities with pricing calculations, manufacturing orders ready to fax, price lists and special functions for quoting large jobs.

 

Rewrite of Phone-Call-Keeping. Reference 1992 written in Clipper5. A system designed for call accounting on numerous phone systems and PABX.

 

Car brokerage system. Car buyer and sellers information centre. A vehicle database used to search sellers and buyers with particular needs and given specifications.

 

Database of heavy machinery parts and specifications. The system enables the search of compatible parts for the ordering and supplies of imported parts. Mix and match upon measurements and specifications of spare parts.

 

Job costing system. Tracking cost of materials and labour time. Compared to budget and estimates. Reproduction and amendments of old jobs and production of job sheets, scheduling and statistical reporting.

 

Automatic fax back system for orders. On receipt of client orders, check  stock levels and if necessary automatically order to appropriate suppliers. Also fax back confirmation of price and availability to client.

 

Pre Windows development (C++ and Clipper5)  - Up to year 1994

 

- Spare parts control written in Clipper5 utilising the data directly from Toshiba service data and electronic manuals. Stock held in the service department for the repairs of photocopiers, faxes and printer. The system included the ordering, quantity on hand, reference to compatible parts, stock levels ect.

 

-  Phone-Call-Keeping. A PABX interpreter and reports generator. Statistical reports for the internal uses of the phone for each extension and other. Written in Clipper5. RS-232 input of phone call details

 

- Contacts management and direct mailing. Downloading listings from CD-ROM and tracking salespeople contacts and performance. Primarily produced for the internal sales team and a compiled version from Clipper5 was produced for other four companies to use.

 

- Office equipment tracking system and clients tracking. A strategic plan for the sales division for equipment upgrades, specials introduction, purchasing of product and product trends. Specially used for direct marketing with the sales division of TRS Office Equipment. Also used in conjunction with the contacts M’gt.

 

- Bookkeeping, revenue and expenses incorporating accounts and reports. Typically used in small office environments and personal finances. Developed in Clipper5 and commercialised using the principles of shareware.

 

- Project leader’s assistant for a sale made from TRS to a company expanding in Sydney. Supplied and installed furniture, phones, photocopiers, computer and networks, partitions, etc. Where three offices took place in one entire floor level in a building in Hunter St. Responsible for the computer system, holding three netware LAN and 28 stations with printer scanners and software setup as per previously designed and accepted by the client. Developed a central database for document imaging scanning storage and retrieval.

 

DOS  (BASIC and ASM) - Up to year 1986

 

- Stock exchange data analysis and reporting. Screen displays were read and converted into ascii files stored on hard drive. Files were then read and analysed with Lotus 123 spreadsheet.

 

- Inventory control for a food warehouse using up to 200 PLUs.

- Cricket team player data statistics. Qld side cricket coach analysed and designed database.

- GW BASIC programming, an inhouse developed software for a finance company in the property market. Keeping track of loans and applicants with relevant details.
